Overview

DBS software keeps records of specific blend ratios, products, lot numbers and storage tanks as operators make the blend. We record details of transfers of product between storage tanks as instructed by the planners.

DBS coupled with the Blend Schedule facilitates organized entry of results when making a blend. All data is entered against a product formula provided by the planner, which may be an exact copy of a formula found in the Bill of Materials in the ERP system, or an adjusted formula in situations where different mix of ingredients is warranted. The greatest source of value in this utility is the reliable collection of data from the operators that carry out the instruction. Data is validated as it is entered. When certain anomalies are detected, the operators are alerted and reminded to make checks and perform corrective action if necessary. This enforces quality production and quality data.
